February 2017 – Latest Competitions and Markets Authority submission in respect of No Claims Discount Protection – We must confirm to clients considering paying to protect their No Claims Discount that this only protects the number of years and not the premium. The premium they pay at renewal may still increase following a claim, even if this is deemed as “Non Fault”.
Other News:
LV – It has come to light that LV, under their ABC product, are no longer writing Private Car policies for drivers under 30. They have agreed to honour the guaranteed quote this time but as the Open GI system refused, the process of honouring the quote is not straight forward. I have been advised that this does not apply to the Highway product.
Legal and General – Rainbow Household product. L&G are looking to provide discounts to us over the next few weeks, however, as previously there is an issue with Money Cover, this has to be selected to be included, so when quoting, please make sure that there is a Sum Insured in the Money fields.
